“The Workers Home", an NGO basedoutside the fifth ring-road of Beijing, people there were rehearsing anon-fictional drama entitled "Us". In the drama, worker XiaoHai andHuashan try to criticize exploitation and discrimination they experienced duringworking, and express their common aspiration of building a new life.
In the real world, Xiaohai andHuashan are labeled as "new worker writer" and get noticed by media. Xiaohaiwant to fall in love with somebody, while Huashan is dreaming one day he couldbe a great writer..
